Ask & Receive

I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what I asked of him. 1 Samuel 1:27
In preparation of the celebration to come, I think back to what my life was like only two years ago. Clint & I were preparing as we were getting ready to have our sweet little baby girl make her grand appearance. However, in October of 2008, my husband and I were told we would never had children by four specialist. They took me off of the birth control I was on and told me there was no worry because my body would constantly terminate the pregnancies because of my lupus. We even spoke with my sister about the possibilities of being a surrogate mommy for us. She was delighted to think she could do that for us, but then again she is a pretty awesome Sissy. After a beach trip in January of 2009, I woke up and took a pregnancy test. Clint had said all weekend, "I know you are pregnant, I know you are!" So, I got up and took the test to prove him wrong! Well, the good Lord has a sense of humor. Needles to say, I was proven wrong! We decided to name her Gracie, because we figured we would never have anymore children & she was here only by God's grace. Well...April of 2011 our sweet little Landon made his way into the world. So, two years ago, I was just a wife and waiting so anxiously to be a Mommy and now, I have the most beautiful little miracles God could have ever given me! Remember, if you ask, you will receive. However, it isn't on your time, it will ALWAYS be on his time!
God Bless!

Time to Prepare

Then the earth reeled and rocked; the foundations also of the mountains trembled and quaked, because he was angry. Psalm 18:7
Following the earth quake yesterday, I have thought about a lot of things. It seems that the earthquake came at a very interesting time. We have huge things going on in our government and we as a nation have gotten so far away from our principles. What happened to, "In God We Trust"? We are putting so much on our leaders, but we need to realize that we are the ones that allowed them to be in the position they are in. We need to voice our beliefs and stand firm on "One Nation, Under God!" He is the only way that we will get out of what trouble we are in. God has given us a sign that he is not happy with where we are as humans. We need to take this as a wake up call to prepare ourselves. Was this a wake up call of things to come? Was this a wake up call to get our affairs in order? I don't know, but I do know that according to his word,
We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28
I am taking it as a reason to make sure everything is ready because one day I will leave this world to walk the streets of gold. I know that time is fast approaching because of things that the Bible told us would happen before we would be united with our loved ones that have gone on before. Praise the Lord the day is so close. I am ready, are you? Are you taking this wake up call serious?
God Bless!

A Warm Welcome...

And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father. Colossians 3:17
Welcome to my blog. I plan on using this blog to just give insight to the wonderful life that God has blessed me with. I will share fun money saving ideas, recipes, family adventures & the fun times of being a stay at home Mommy. I will include lessons learned both by my children and by myself. God has truly blessed us with two beautiful miracles in our Gracie & Landon. I will post a scripture at the start of each post. I hope that you, the reader, will receive some blessings and useful information from this blog. Until next time...
